DLMS/COSEM – a stable standard for interoperable meter data exchange

Introduction

This workshop offers a comprehensive understanding of the DLMS/COSEM specification (IEC 62056 / EN 13737-1) and its use for interoperable utility meter data exchange. Its main concepts are presented with many practical examples, together with guidelines for specifying and operating DLMS/COSEM based metering systems. An overview of market acceptance and product offering is given.

Gyozo KMETHY, President, DLMS User Association

Gyozo KMETHY worked for a global metering solution provider in various R&D and marketing functions for 25 years. He is involved in international standardization for electricity metering since 1989. He is the Secretary of IEC TC 13, the technical committee responsible for global metering standards, since 1993. He is the President of the DLMS User Association since 2000. He gives papers and workshops around the world since 2002 on DLMS/COSEM and its application. He also consults to meter manufacturers and utilities.
